Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using SmartRolePath ("the Service"). By accessing or using SmartRolePath, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
SmartRolePath is an AI career intelligence platform, built on frameworks we've developed in-house, that analyzes your skills, experience, and goals to recommend career transition paths, personalized roadmaps, and curated learning resources. The Service is provided on an 'as-is' basis and is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
Career paths, Personal Match scores, salary and income estimates, and roadmaps are generated by an AI model (Claude, from Anthropic) applying a scoring framework developed by SmartRolePath to the information you provide. They are AI-generated estimates, not figures retrieved from a live database. Where available, official occupational data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and O*NET is shown separately and labeled with its source and period, and for eligible U.S. analyses may be used in a limited way to order closely matched careers. SmartRolePath is not affiliated with or endorsed by BLS or O*NET. All content is provided for informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional career counseling, financial advice, or guarantees of employment or income. Results vary based on individual circumstances and market conditions.
You must be at least 18 years old to use SmartRolePath. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and completing the career intake form. Providing false information may result in inaccurate analyses and could lead to suspension of your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. Notify us immediately at info@smartrolepath.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree to use SmartRolePath only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not use the Service to submit false information, attempt to reverse-engineer our AI systems, scrape or harvest data, or interfere with the Service's operation.
By submitting career information through SmartRolePath, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that data to provide the Service, including sending it to our AI processing partners. You retain ownership of your personal data.
You may not share your account, resell analyses, use automated tools to access the Service, or engage in any activity that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
The SmartRolePath Pro plan is available as a monthly subscription for $19.95/month USD, or an annual subscription for $149/year USD. You receive 10 new career analyses every month, whether you are billed monthly or annually, roadmaps for every career path, course & certification recommendations, current job listings, and year-by-year income projections. You may cancel at any time.
All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. By purchasing the Pro plan, you authorize SmartRolePath to charge the payment method you provide via Stripe. All prices are in US dollars and inclusive of any applicable taxes where required.
The free tier includes 1 career analysis with all 7 ranked career paths, and 1 personalized roadmap showing Phase 1 in full plus a preview of Phase 2. No credit card is required to use the free tier.
Pro subscribers receive an allowance of 10 new career analyses during each monthly usage period while their subscription remains active, regardless of whether they choose monthly or annual billing. Unused analyses do not carry over to subsequent periods. The first usage period begins when your Pro subscription starts, and each later period begins on the same day of each following month (UTC); if a month has no such day, it begins on that month's last day. Your remaining analyses and the date your allowance next resets are shown in your dashboard and in Plan & Billing. Billing frequency does not change the monthly allowance, and an annual subscriber does not need to make a monthly payment to receive it. An analysis you start uses one of your analyses for that period while it is being generated and once it completes; if an analysis fails to generate, it does not use any of your allowance. If you upgrade from the free plan, your free analysis does not count toward your Pro allowance and your first usage period begins with the full 10. If you cancel, you keep Pro access, including your monthly allowance, until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and no new usage period begins after that date. If your subscription ends or expires, the Pro allowance ends with it and your account returns to the free plan; your saved analyses and roadmaps remain available.
Because SmartRolePath delivers the Pro plan value through research-backed analyses, and because processing costs are incurred immediately upon running an analysis, we do not offer refunds once one or more analyses have been completed using your Pro credits.
If you have purchased a Pro plan and have not yet run any analyses, you may request a full refund within 48 hours of purchase by contacting info@smartrolepath.com. Refund requests after 48 hours or after any analysis has been run will not be honored.
If a technical failure on our end prevents an analysis from completing or delivering results, the credit will be restored to your account. This is not a refund but a credit restoration.
All content on SmartRolePath, including the website design, software, AI prompts, aggregated career data, and branding, is owned by or licensed to SmartRolePath. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
The career analysis output generated for you is yours to use for your personal career planning. You may not resell or redistribute analyses generated by SmartRolePath.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE' WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Career recommendations, salary projections, and market data are research-backed estimates based on available data. SmartRolePath does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any analysis or information provided through the Service.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SMARTROLEPATH'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SMARTROLEPATH IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
IN NO EVENT SHALL SMARTROLEPATH BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
SmartRolePath is not liable for any career decisions you make based on information provided by the Service. Career transitions involve individual effort, market conditions, and factors outside our control.
You may stop using SmartRolePath at any time and request account deletion by emailing info@smartrolepath.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the application. Continued use of SmartRolePath after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
